October's Class

Tucker University is an exciting opportunity to help quilters build their stills and accuracy.  Each class covers a different Studio 180 Design tool along with ways to expand the use of the tool.  Students will make 4" finished units so that they can combine and create new blocks.  The creativity is contagious!

Date:  The last Sunday of each month - see specific dates below
Time:  12:30 - 4:30
Cost:   $35.00 per session or
$100 for 3 continuous sessions - Paid in advance or
$200 for 6 sessions (2 blocks of 3 continuous sessions)- Paid in advance or
$300 for 9 sessions (3 blocks of 3 continuous sessions)- Paid in advance or
$385 for all 12 sessions - Paid in advance

Instructor:   Joan Shortsleeve, Certified Instructor through Studio 180 Design

We will meet once a month for 3-4 hours and explore one tool each session.  There is no pattern involved, or finished quilt as part of this class.  This program is designed to learn how you can make, use, and integrate, Studio 180 Design tools into your quilting repertoire.  This is a perfect opportunity to use up some of your "wonder" fabric (I "wonder" why I bought it?) to practice the techniques.  You can certainly build a sampler quilt with your finished units if you so choose.
Studio 180 Design Tools offer:
- Multiple sizes on every tool (one tool, many possibilities)
- Slightly over-sized construction for precision trimming for precise unit sizes
- Left and Right handed cutting instructions
- Technique Sheets for additional technique options for each tool
- Free videos with the additional help for every tool and technique

Open Sew
Do you want to join other quilters and sewers in a community setting to work on your own projects? Do you want to have a welcoming place in which to sew, either individually or with a group of friends? Then come on in to Quilting With Color and join the Sewing Group. Each Thursday from 10 am - 7 pm, our classroom is available for open sew, so bring your projects in to work on. Whether you have an hour or several to spend sewing, it’s a great opportunity to meet new and current quilting friends. Come on in, bring your projects, your machine (or hand projects) and have fun sewing!
