This quilt received its name because of the "whirling" image the blocks give; the blocks give the appearance of spinning rapidly around a central point. They are made with strip piecing and the Tucker Trimmer III tool from Studio 180 Design. It is easy enough for confident beginners but interesting enough for veteran quilters. You choose the size: Lap (46: x 57"), Twin (57" x 90"), Queen (79" x 101") or King (101" x 112"). Call or stop by the shop to sign up.

Have you wanted to learn to machine piece quilt blocks? This beginner class will teach you all the basics so you can make a sampler wall hanging you will be proud of! We will meet for 6 three hour sessions this fall. You will learn basic skills such as measuring fabric in preparation for cutting, accurate 1/4" seam, sashing blocks, adding borders, and the steps all the way through to binding.
